Behind the advice
Sony still lists XM6
Sony’s UK site has an active WF-1000XM6 model page. It does not establish a date for the next generation.

Models covered
This page covers Sony’s WF earbuds. The WH over-ear headphones have a separate timeline.
What remains uncertain
We found no confirmed WF-1000XM7 announcement or supported successor date in the sources reviewed. A later announcement could change the advice. Past intervals do not establish a fixed schedule.
What we checked
Sony’s February WF-1000XM6 announcement, current UK model page, and UK sound press index. Searches for WF-1000XM7 and a WF-1000XM6 successor found no reliable replacement announcement or supported date. The press index is paginated; this is a bounded review.
